Creating Green Neighborhoods takes a deeper approach to strategically problem solving and creating beautification in neighborhoods across Waco, Texas.
We envision a vibrant city that our community has the opportunity to benefit from beautiful surroundings. With that vision, we play a role alongside valuable residents who share the mission of a more beautiful Waco!
We aim to collaborate with groups who care about beautifying our city. While we understand navigating the processes can be tricky, we are here to help bring your vision to reality.
$5,000 is going towards beautifying The Getterman Wellness Center outdoor walking track in spring 2025!
Thanks to Keep Texas Beautiful and H-E-B, we are creating a beautiful placemaking opportunity at the Baylor Scott & White Getterman Wellness Center.
Volunteer with us this spring to play a role in creating a more vibrant Waco!

PAST CREATING GREEN NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECTS
Thanks to Keep Texas Beautiful, H-E-B, Keep America Beautiful, and Baylor University Solid Gold Neighbor, we collaborated with the National Women in Agriculture for their Garrison Street Garden.
This space provides education and opportunities for neighbors to grow their own produce all while enjoying this space to gather. We collaborated with the community to help transform this garden to be as vibrant as it can be, and provided the space new beds, hundreds of edible plants and herbs, and a bed full of milkweed for our migrating Monarch Butterflies.
